- María (Mexican Rag Doll)

Marías (Mexican Rag Dolls) are known for their smiling faces, indigenous style of dress, and ribboned braids.  Rag dolls of various types have origins in the pre-Hispanic period and were often made with bits of clothing.  The distinctive “Marías” style doll emerged in the Mexican state of Querétaro in the 1970's and can now be found across Mexico.

- Mini Mariachi Hat

The term Mariachi is reserved for musicians that play this genre of Regional Mexican Spanish music that originated in the 18th century in the state of Jalisco.  The Mariachi genre evolved and expanded to become a traditional part of Mexican culture.  Mariachi groups consist of musicans dressed in charro outfits and are often hired to play at quinceañeras, weddings and other celebrations.  This mini-Mariachi hat includes detailed stitching and sequins.

- Mini Sarape (6x6)

The sarape is a traditional rectangular blanket-like shawl.  Sarapes were often worn by men and the color and pattern was often an indication of a region.  The traditional sarape from the state of Coahuila often consists of bands of bright colors that sit on a dark-colored base and include fringed ends.   This mini-sarape can be used as a small place mat, a coaster, decoration, or for children’s dolls.
